On February 17, 2012 I was invited by Healing for Haiti to lead a medical mission to the town of Aquin as part of its philanthropic activities in Haïti. In the early days of AMHE, the vast majority of its members had completed their medical education in Haiti at the L’Hôpital de l’Université d’Etat d’Haïti (HUEH). In an effort to help their homeland, many of those physicians have been going back to volunteer at HUEH, teach residents and send much needed equipments.
