AMHE NJ Chapter is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit oganization whose mission is to Provide Our Professional Members a Conduit To Address The Medical Needs And Concerns Of The Haitian Community At Home And Abroad.

Encourage the physicians, dentists and other health care professionals to respond to the medical needs of the local community. Promote improved professional standards within the medical profession.

Evaluate the availability of medical services to the public and seek methods to deliver such services to the Haitian communities in the United States and abroad. Support research, education, training, and recruitment in the field of medicine.

Provide assistance to appropriate agencies involved in the delivery of medical care to the public. Disseminate health education, health care prevention and encourage wellness in the Haitian and other communities.

Emergency Response

When the hurricane landed mainly in the southern part of the country where it caused floods, damage to property and loss of lives. AMHE coordinated contact with several organizations in Haiti and in the US.

Conferences

Annual medical conferences have been scheduled since the first general assembly in 1972, to keep the body of the membership up to date on medical advances which benefit our community.

Health Clinics

AMHE New Jersey Chapter traveled to Haiti, on a medical mission to evaluate the roles of Non-Governmental Organizations versus public hospitals in the delivery of healthcare in the Northern part of Haiti.

Community Support

The New Jersey Chapter is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) and has been sponsoring and supporting Elementary school education in la Saline for over a decade.
